If the conservatory is designed as an area for entertaining then a number of considerations could be taken?  How often is the conservatory likely to be used in the day?  How critical will noise levels be?  What extra heating and ventilation will be going into the conservatory?

With these factors in mind, a thermally efficient toughened glass, such as Conservaglass, may be chosen for a number of reasons: 1) it will retain heat in the cold winter months, 2) reduce heat in the warmer summer months and 3) will be quieter than polycarbonate when it rains.
